Ciel Bleu (French for "Blue Sky") is a team of two Miami wedding photographers.

When photographers Oliver and Gabriella joined forces several years ago, a unique combination of talent was born.

Oliver brings many years of experience shooting fashion & beauty for international companies to the table, and knows how to make you look your very best!

Gabriella has developed her skills shooting journalistic photography while traveling through Europe, China, Japan and India and has a great eye for candid moments.

With this team, wedding couples get the best of two worlds: We will capture the love, the joy and the fun of your wedding in a spontaneous, journalistic way, but also add a distinct artistic touch to your wedding images.

Ciel Bleu is based in Miami, South Florida, but our services for destination wedding photography and engagement pictures are available anywhere from New York to Key West and far beyond.

Questions & Answers

What is your photography style?

Our wedding photography style is a mix of contemporary and journalistic. We capture the moments of the day in a photo-journalistic style but take artistic, directed shots as well. Having worked in the fashion & beauty photo-industry for many years we will add a fashionable touch and make sure that the bride will look her very best!

Do you photograph engagement sessions?

Of course! Our goal is to tell your story in all details. Engagement photos at your favorite beach or park, bridal beauty portraits, bridal fashion shots, rehearsal dinners - the choice is yours. Call us about pricing and details!

Who will shoot my wedding?

Your wedding will be shot by Oliver and Gabriella, two photographers with many years of experience. We often use young apprentices or photo-school graduates as assistants, but your actual photographers will be true professionals.

Can we book one photographer only?

CielBleu covers all weddings with two photographers. Most key moments of a wedding happen only once and can not be re-staged. It is almost impossible for a single photographer to capture the spirit of your wedding with all its different situations.

Aren't two photographers going to be quite obtrusive?

As strange as it may sound - a well coordinated team of two is much less obtrusive than a single photographer, who constantly has to hurry from one location to another. We will make ourselves as invisble as possible.

How many weddings do you shoot per weekend?

One. Yours. The one that is important. CielBleu is not a wedding photo-factory. For us, quality is much more important than quantity, so we photograph one event per weekend only.

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Of course - CielBleu is available for destination weddings almost anywhere in the world. Our home base is in Miami / Palm Beach, but whether you're getting married in the United States, the Bahamas, the Caribbean or Mexico, Ciel Bleu will be there for you. We have plenty of experience shooting in foreign countries, dealing with customs, immigration and local regulations.

Can photos be purchased online?

Yes! All selected images of your wedding will be uploaded to a proofing site from which you can order affordable prints in a variety of different sizes and styles.

How about wedding albums?

We offer several different styles of wedding albums and will be happy to show you samples at our Miami and Palm Beach locations.

Do you shoot in color or black & white?

We photograph everything in color, but images can easily be converted to black & white afterwards. We shoot in RAW format to guarantee the highest possible image quality and there is no quality loss in the conversion.

Will you take group and family pictures?

Of course. While our main focus is to capture fun, love and emotions of your wedding, we are aware that there is a list of "must have" shots. However, we try to keep the posed photographs limited because most of our clients like to enjoy their wedding day, and not be interrupted by the photographer. We kindly ask you to designate a group coordinator to help gather people together in order to speed along the process.

 

How long will the formals take?

Usually between 30-45 minutes, depending how many you want. In order to speed things up, it is a good idea to shoot the formals immediately before or after the ceremony, when everyone is gathered at the same place.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, CielBleu Photography is licensed and insured and can provide proof of coverage upon request.

What happens if you drop your camera or flash?

We'll scoop up the leftovers, shed a quick tear and continue to shoot - with the next camera. Every photographer carries at least 2 units of each major piece of equipment.

How many pictures do you take during a wedding?

Hundreds, sometimes thousands, it depends on the event and its locations. We usually edit out around 20% of the images all others will be uploaded to an online gallery.

Is there a time-limit to your services?

If you want, CielBleu will cover your wedding day from the moment you wake up to the moment you drive off into the sunset. This is YOUR day, you are calling the shots (literally...).

 

How long after our wedding will we see our photographs?

Your proofs will typically be ready 3 weeks after the wedding. Rush services are available.

Do we get a DVD with all images?

Yes, you will receive a DVD with all selected images 6 months after the wedding.
